I love wine and all the beautiful people

Last weekend was spent lazing about the Clare Valley and hanging out at El Rancho, and partaking in many fine fermented drinkies! (hic)

We kicked off the weekend with a Friday night mystery food and wine dinner at Neagles Rock, a very cosy affair indeed. Our answers were deemed comical enough to read out at one stage, and even though we got mentioned as having the most single girls at the table .... no takers!
A rather late night ensured.

Nat and I headed back to Adelaide on Sat morning to do a spot of shopping and sight seeing. We checked out a few open inspections that we happened to come across to. But bargain of the weekend was at The Red Spot boutique where they had a lingerie sale ... woo hoo, my two favourite words in the one sentence! Anyho, we tried to get into the Earl for dinner, but could not get a table ... Nat was keen to sample the huge plates of meat they are famed for. We settled for local pub, and a few drinks.

Sunday we all piled into the Ute and headed up to Clare again .. by the time we actually got our shit together it was later than we intended. Our first stop was Pikes. They had delish food and E-Type were the band.
My god ... the eye candy was astounding! All the beautiful people in one spot, good thing there were no mirrors outside as the conversation would have ceased and mass preening would have begun. We decided that were were alright looking to, and more approachable as we didn't have a permanent pout on our faces or peroxided hair. We got cracking and made up for lost time here with a few bottles in quick succession! We danced and sampled the food. Caught up with the other bris-vegas-ites on our table from fri night and saw Kazz, James and El Rancho Steve there to (on a break from Neagles)

Catching up .....

We then moved on to Skillagalee ... where there was an annoying individual, but he did take our photo, so not all was lost.
We also had a pash-a-thon with a tidy bloke, who was conned by the "pash for cash" (a silly bus tour game) We were just taking advantage of him!
We made a stealthy escape and headed over to Stringy Brae Winery... There was a fantastic band, The Hiptones they were great, and the big Elvis hair and side burns only enhanced the experience!
We then decided to get our butts to Neagles and set up camp for the night, with our gourmet basket, and ran into a few of the younger Rovers there, and just missed a few of the Old Boys to! It was great, although there are only a few times you can hear Zorba being played!

Monday, Nat and I cruised around the hills, froze our butts off at Mount Lofty at 13c. We went to Melba's Chocolate Factory, Beerenberg mustards and jams etc, and finished off at Hahndorf Pub with more wine and cheese and saying g'day to Linda and Jasmine. We ended up getting take away tai/malaysian for Tea with De.

A bit chilly on top of Mt Lofty!

All in all, a rather big weekend!
